The Most Advanced Surgical Techniques

WHAT IS FUE HAIR TRANSPLANTATION
Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE) is the extraction of a unit of hair (follicular unit) from the body (usually the back of the head) and implanting into an area of the head or face. FUE is the most advanced and easiest way to extract hairs from the donor area for a hair transplant.

The other hair transplant technique is the FUT (Follicular Unit Transplantation) or “strip technique” which requires slicing a section of the skin at the back of the head to extract the hair follicles. This technique carries more risks and always leaves a visible scar. At Persona Hair we use the FUE technique only.

FUE Hair Transplant At Persona Hair

At Persona Hair, we combine FUE with the lateral slit technique to implant hairs in the recipient area. Together, these methods ensure a more natural appearance whilst minimizing risk of scarring in the donor area.

Our experienced surgeons at the Persona Hair have refined this technique so that natural hairlines with good density and volume are the outcomes that patients expect every time. Our ongoing and thorough aftercare, coupled with excellent outcomes, convince patients to travel halfway across the world for an operation with the Persona Hair.

Our doctors and trained specialists use refined titanium punches for the extraction of donor's hair. Titanium punches provide the smallest external and internal diameter. Predominantly, punches with an inner diameter of 0.75 – 0.8 mm are used, and our specialists are able to extract follicles containing 2 hairs/graft on average.

One major advantage of the FUE hair transplant is that there is no stitching required of the FUE donor area and usually no visible scarring. It does however require more surgeon time with the patient compared to the FUT.
